Interesting. If you do experiment again, let me know how it turns out. Best of luck!

I am not sending it anymore. Last time I seriously considered them was a few years ago. Yes, it was good targeted traffic, I even asked a friend to test with the negative result. Maybe I should try again...

I cannot say first hand, as I not an Amazon's affiliate, but I am hearing that Amazon converts well for those that promote it. Really surprised to hear what you're saying.

So, you're saying you were sending them good targeted (?) traffic, and it didn't convert?

I noticed significant hangups Amazon has about referal websites. In fact, for all practical purposes I gave up on Amazon affiliate program and only use it to legitimately show covers of the books I truly recommend. I've put a lot of links for years under a good traffic (starting 1999, I belive) and never seen real commissions since very old times. It almost feels like they would only credit referrals from the site originally registered with their program.

I don't know, maybe I am doing something wrong, but for me they are just one more deadbeat affiliate programs that never pays and not worth attention. I even asked Shawn Collins on his blog, and he claims it works for him. Good to hear, but not for me.

Interesting idea though to check their "agreement". I guess, I'll do so when I have a time between better money making activities.

Good for you, Travis

Do you require the affiliate to mark their link as an affiliate one when pushed through Twitter, Facebook, or other social media channels?
